Verona School's Student Welfare Policy incorporates Positive Behaviour Intervention Systems in accordance with the NSW Department of Education and Training's Student Welfare Policy, PBIS training and the specific expectations of our school setting.
The Positive Behaviour Interventions Systems has been developed in collaboration with members of staff, students and the parent body.
Positive Behaviour Intervention System Framework intends to ensure all that all members of the school community understand the behavioural expectations of students through a system which proactively teaches and reinforces expected behaviours using common language, clear signage and appropriate consequences.
Thus, PBIS has a balanced expectation matrix to underpin the behaviour required to achieve successful learning outcomes.
Students at Verona School are expected to:
- Responsible
- Respectful
- Safe
- Learners
