School pathways
At Verona, we are committed to supporting every student on a learning journey that is purposeful, personalised, and aligned with their future goals. Our pathways are designed to meet the diverse needs of our students—whether they are working towards returning to their census school, completing their HSC with us, exploring vocational training, or preparing for further study.
Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs)
Every student at Verona engages in an Individualised Learning Plan, developed in close consultation with families, teachers, support staff, and external professionals where appropriate.
ILPs outline specific learning goals, social and emotional development priorities, and any adjustments or supports needed to help the student thrive. These plans are reviewed regularly to ensure progress is monitored and goals remain relevant.
Our ILPs ensure each student learns at a pace and level that suits them, with targeted strategies to build confidence, independence, and academic growth.

Some students are enrolled at Verona for a temporary period with the goal of reintegrating back into their census (home) school.

Integration Program (One-Day Return Program)
As part of the transition process, many students participate in our Integration Program, where they return to their census school one day each week—every Thursday.
The purpose of this program is to:
- Maintain connection to their census school community
- Build confidence in larger or more challenging environments
- Support gradual transition
- Trial academic and behavioural expectations with support
Verona staff work closely with the census school to monitor student progress during Integration days, ensuring consistent support is provided across both settings.

- Hands-on, practical learning
- Industry-recognised skills
